Hello. 

I'm Amber, a camerawoman from Hawke's Bay, New Zealand.
These are a few of my favourite things:

Mornings

They really are the best part of the day. 2014 marks the foundation of the Sunrise Surf Club, which involves getting up in the middle of the night, preparing breakfast, and heading to the beach to get amongst the dawn of a beautiful day. It's really taking off - so far it's just me and my bestie, but it'll catch on. 

Story-telling

Every person has a tale, every place a legend, every moment a feeling. Trying to capture these things and share them with others is at the heart of what I do, and it's the reason I'll never tire of it. Telling stories & spreading joy is my informal personal mantra I just came up with, and may never use again. I'll work on that.  

Surfing

They say I was born a mermaid, and by 'they', I mean me, in my head.  It's one theory.  A huge part of my life is spent in the ocean - it's a constant source of happiness, a reminder of how good life is, and it has a way of putting things in perspective, of making me feel like I can do anything.

Travel

Everybody loves travel, but not everybody really travels. For me, travel isn't about staying in backpacker hostels, sight-seeing by day and drinking by night, it's about getting off the beaten track, living with locals, learning languages, filling your soul to the brim with little pieces of places and people.  

Dogs & Chocolate

Because we all need a guilty pleasure. These are actually two different guilty pleasures, but I felt that if I grouped them together it would make them seem like one.
